sound deadening and insulation
To fully enjoy a cosy night's sleep and to keep road noise down to a minimum, a properly sound deadened and insulated campervan is a must. Here at Weston, we don't cut any corners when it comes to ensuring your van is ready to face the elements. We always use the highest quality materials with proven characteristics and material properties, creating a quiet and snug environment for your home away from home.

Every van we convert includes a layer of Silent Coat 2mm deadening mat applied to the rear wheel arches. With military grade construction and highly effective damping, Silent Coat reduces vibrations, rattles and road rumble.

A semi open cell polyurethane memory foam material is applied to each vehicle's interior side panels, which prevents echo, reverb and absorbs unwanted high frequency road noise.

Finally, we insulate the van with Thermafleece, a truly sustainable sheep's wool insulation that has a very low embodied energy, and acts as a moisture buffer by absorbing and releasing excess moisture. It has high acoustic insulation properties so it is perfect for campervans as part of our overall soundproofing system.
